That’s all you need to do, the API token will be validated against your account given that you simultaneously have added an email address to the configuration. Then you should see the token status change to “green” indicating that the account is now able to schedule tasks
Why do we need an API token → We require a personal token to backup and extract projects in CSV format. This resource of the Atlassian API is only permitted based on a user’s token. This also ensures that projects that are being extracted via JQL are only permitted to those users who already have access to it.
If you need to change your API token, please follow the same process to change it. Do that by pasting your new API token on the token form and submit to save.
