How to bulk change users email address
This document showcases how to change a user's email address using the BulkOps Org for Jira
This operation allows you to change the email addresses of your managed users from one email to another.
To successfully change users' email addresses, ensure that current and target domains have been verified. See Verify a domain to manage accounts | Atlassian Support
Step 1:
Access the BulkOps Org app and navigate to users on the side menu bar
Ensure you’ve already configured your API key by following this document How to configure an API key
Click on a new task
Upload your file. It has to be a CSV file. See the sample file format below, and if in doubt, see our Accepted file format for more information.
Select the operation you want to manage, in this case, the delete account operation
Click the next button to proceed
Step 2:
Create the task name
Select the given date and time for the operation
If you want the operation to run immediately, please choose today as the date and the time should be the closest time on the form.
Step 3:
Review the configured task and ensure it meets your requirement
Navigate to Tasks on the side menu bar to view your scheduled tasks.
Once the timeframe has elapsed, the given operation will run and perform the given task.
Note
To change an email address, as the admin you must share the same domain name with the users you want to manage or your email domain must have been verified within the same organization for a change to be possible
If you see this icon () in the list of domains, it means the domain has not been verified. In this scenario, the app cannot change the email request to such a domain if it is in the list for the uploaded file.
Tick the force change request to force change an email account even though it already exists. This scenario is suited where a re-org occurred and users have already created their email and now they require their previous account activity on that email.
